Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10/9/2026

At Acquio LLC ("Acquio"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have in connection with your information.

By using our website and services, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that enables us to provide and improve our services:

  • Account Information: including your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Payment Information: processed securely through a third-party payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers.
  • User Inputs: financial and business data that you enter into the platform (e.g., revenues, expenses, debt assumptions, valuation inputs).
  • Uploaded Document Data: When you use the Tax Analysis feature, structured financial data extracted from uploaded tax returns, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and recasts (such as revenue, expenses, and balance sheet figures). Original document files are deleted after analysis by default. A broker may choose to save copies to their client's data room. If they do, personal information is redacted unless the broker turns redaction off, and the copies stay private to the broker's team until they are shared.
  • Usage Data: information about how you interact with our services (e.g., device type, browser, pages visited, time spent).
  • Support Communications: details you provide when contacting us for help.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Deliver the core financial modeling and valuation features of Acquio.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Maintain and improve the performance, security, and usability of our platform.
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and new features.
  • Respond to support inquiries.
  • Conduct aggregated, anonymized analysis to improve product performance.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

3. User Data & Financial Inputs

  • The financial and business data you provide is yours.
  • We process it only to generate the analyses you request.
  • We may use aggregated and anonymized data for research and product improvement.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

3a. Tax Document Data

When you use the Tax Analysis feature (available to Acquio Pro users), you may upload business tax returns for AI-powered financial data extraction. The following applies to this data:

  • What we collect: Structured financial data extracted from the document, including revenue, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, ordinary income, depreciation, and balance sheet figures. Original files are deleted after analysis by default. A broker may choose to save copies to their client's data room, with personal information redacted unless the broker turns redaction off. Saved copies are private to the broker's team until they are shared.
  • How we use it: Extracted data is used solely to populate your financial model and analysis within Acquio. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the modeling feature you requested.
  • Third-party processing: Document extraction is performed using a third-party AI service provider. The provider processes document content only to perform the extraction, does not use it to train its models, and may retain it only for a limited period as described in its commercial terms.
  • Retention: Extracted financial data is retained as part of your deal record for as long as your account is active or until you delete the associated deal. You can delete extracted data at any time by deleting the deal it is associated with. Original document files are deleted after analysis by default. If a broker chooses to save copies to their client's data room, those copies stay private to the broker's team until they are shared.
  • Your responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring you have authorization to upload any document. By uploading, you confirm the document was provided to you with the knowledge and authorization of the business owner as part of a due diligence process.

We do not sell, share, or use extracted tax document data for any purpose beyond generating your requested analysis.

3b. Buyer Profiles and Proof of Funds

Buyer profile information you provide (such as your name, contact details, acquisition criteria, and funds available) is shared with brokers on listings you engage with or request access to. If you upload a bank or brokerage statement to verify your funds, it is processed by a third-party AI service provider to read only the statement date, account holder name, and total balance. Account numbers and transactions are not collected. The file is deleted immediately after processing, whether or not verification succeeds. We retain only the verification result (status, verified amount, statement date, and expiration date), which brokers on those listings can see. Brokers never see the document itself.

4. Third-Party Services

We may share limited information with trusted third parties who help us operate the platform:

  • Payment Processors: to process payments securely. Your credit card and billing details are handled directly by our payment processor, and we do not store this information.
  • AI Service Providers: to extract structured financial data from tax documents uploaded through the Tax Analysis feature, to verify buyer proof of funds, and to power optional AI features, such as suggested edits to calculator assumptions. Content is sent to these providers only for those features, and they do not use it to train their models.
  • Analytics Tools: to understand how users interact with our services and improve the experience.
  • Email Service Providers: to deliver account communications and product updates.
  • Hosting and Database Providers: to store your data and operate the platform.

These providers are only given access to the data they need to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to protect it.

A current list of our subprocessors is available on request at support@acquio.tech.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in and remember preferences.
  • Monitor platform performance and usage trends.

You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Data Security

We take commercially reasonable measures to safeguard your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no online service can guarantee complete security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, update, or delete your personal data.
  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Opt out of marketing communications.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@acquio.tech

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you close your account, we will delete your data from our active systems within 30 days, and copies in routine backups are deleted as those backups expire, within no more than 90 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Aggregated, anonymized data that does not identify you may be retained. For tax document data specifically: original uploaded files are deleted after analysis by default unless a broker has chosen to save copies to their client's data room, which are private to the broker's team until they are shared, and extracted financial data is deleted when you delete the associated deal or close your account. Proof of funds documents are deleted immediately after processing.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Acquio after changes means you accept the updated policy.
